Raya Outing 2013

It's been a long time since we update our blog. Alhamdulillah thumma alhamdulillah 'ala kulli ni'mah that Allah has been giving us. We believe that most of us had sat for our exams last few weeks. We hope that all of us had done our best and may success be with us, InsyAllah. :)

First and foremost, we hope it won't be too late for us to wish you guys out there, Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir & Batin, minal aidil wal faizin wa maqbuliin, kullu 'am wa antum bil kheir. We want to seek forgiveness from all of you for any shortcomings that we had done. We hope that you guys enjoy this month of barakah, the month of victory.

During the month of Syawal, we as Muslims are encourage to strengthen our bonding among our brothers and sisters of Islam by visiting one another and seek for forgiveness.

Since Islam encourage us to strengthen our Ukhuwwah, therefore Nypmsn had house-to-house visit last two days, Saturday, 31 August 2013. We went to 4 houses which is Bro Ishak's, Bro Firdaus', Bro Fadhuli's and last but not least Bro Afiq's. 3 out of 4 houses that we went is our alumnis houses. We feel that by going to alumni's houses, we can create some bond between the current members and seniors. Not only we did house-visiting, we also played some games that was conducted by our Raya Committee. Firstly, we gathered at Yio Chu Kang Bus interchange around 10am. It took us 20mins  from YCK to reach Bro Ishak's house. At his house, we played "Guess the kuih" game. Bro Ishak also served us 'Rojak India' (yum! it is rare to be served rojak india during syawal house visiting) . We left his house about one and a half hour later.

Next house was Bro Firdaus'. We played some quiz there. The committee asked certain questions based on the traditional kuih to test on how far we know about our culture.

After Bro Firdaus' house, we performed our zuhr prayer at Al-Istiqamah Mosque. Next, we went to Bro Fadhuli's house. The situation there was very chaotic. Why? It was because Bro Fadhuli let go his rabbit named AJ from its cage. So the rabbit ran around the house and some of us got scared therefore we shouted here and there. So chaotic yet so fun! (haha)

After so much fun we had there, we proceed to the next house which is Bro Afiq's house. There, we performed our Asar prayer and played some game called 'Treasure Hunt'. We divided ourselves into two groups, brothers and sisters. Each group was given a list of ten items that were needed to 'hunt'. Finally, Sisters group won the game as they were able to find all those ten items. Marha Marha!  We end this raya outing by a short speech given by our nypmsn's president. Our alumnis who came for the raya outing also send their gratitude as we had invited them. This is the last picture that we took for that day. 

Alhamdulillah, everything that Raya committee planned was a success! Without the help from Him and the others who came, this event won't be a success. We hope that in years to come, we can improve a lot on our shortcomings. InsyAllah. :) Till here, Wassalam.
