Inter Poly MS Sports Day

Assalamualaikum wr wb everyone :)

So this year, we had Inter Poly MS sports day again! (weehee~)

This year, the event took place near Masjid Assyakirin on the 6th of April. We gathered at Masjid Assyakirin around 9am. The weather seemed cloudy and windy. When we were on our way to the mosque, it rained a bit. Nevertheless, Alhamdulillah when we started the game, the rain stopped.

It took around 5-10mins to reach at our individual place. Brothers played futsal at Futsal court (indoor) while sisters played Captain Ball at BasketBall court at nearby park. We were so excited when the game about to start.

For the guys, we immediately started our futsal match(typically guys hahahah!). We enjoyed every minute of futsal time with our brothers from different ms polys. It is the time where all our differences and backgrounds are put aside while the spirit of brotherhood and sportsmanship are forged! For the first 2 hours of the game, we played futsal matches with teams of 5vs5. The other ms polys played wonderfully well and their skills are better compared to ours. In the end, we played a mass futsal match where everyone joined and play futsal!! It was sooo "kecoh giler!!"..Hahahaha!

For the sisters, we played ice-breaking games first such as 'Blow wind blow' and also 'Dog and Bone'. After a bit of warm up, we continued to Captain Ball. We teamed ourselves by mixing up with other ms poly. One of the reason we did so, is to know each other very well and build ukhuwwah with everyone.

After around 3 hours of playing, we were so exhausted and we returned back to mosque. There was lunch provided at mosque's basement. We ate our lunch together and proceed to zuhr prayer. After praying, there was a bit of sharing session by a brother. A good reminder from the sharing session was; Sports is a great way to forge or strenghten the bonds of unity between muslims. Thus, this shows that being united helps everyone to accomplish greater things and have fun together. InshaaAllah, through sports, muslims are united regardless of their differences and backgrounds. Alhamdulillah this event runs smoothly.
